Attitude

In my presence you have infinite approval. You often judge yourself on the basis of what you see in the mirror, even though you know how fickle and shallow that ever-changing image is. You tend to be equally enslaved to viewing yourself through the eyes of other people, rigorously evaluating your personal performance and almost always feeling displeased with something you’ve said or done.

“Enslabed” is an approopriate word. You are indeed a slave when you try to measure yourself through any perspective but Mine. Evaluating your worth based on how you look, to yourself or others, is always a trap. It’s as if you are sifting sand in a search for gold – looking only at the grains of sand filtering through the sieve, while ignoring the priceless nuggets that remain. The gold represents the eternal part of you: your soul. It is invisible to everyone but Me, the One who plans to spend eternity with you. Though invisible, a well-nurtured soul can actually improve your appearence: As you rest in the certainty of My unfailing Love, your face glows with the Joy of My Presence.

My approval of you is infinite because it will continue forever. It is based entirely on My righteousness, which is yours for all eternity. When you look in the mirror, try to see yourself as you truly are – arrayed in perfect righteousness, adorned in glowing approval.

Satisfy us in the morning with you infailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad  all our days. ~ Psalm 90:14 ~

Surely you have granted him eternal blessins and made him glad with the joy of your presence. ~ Psalm 21:6 ~

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ~ Isaiah 61:10 ~

Intimacy with Him

You have the amazing privilege of knowing Me intimately, yet this privilege is not an invitation to act as if you were My equal. I want you to worship Me as King of kings while walking hand in hand with Me.

I know it’s not easy for you to strike that balance. I took a huge risk when I created mankind in My own image. I made you with the awesome ability to reverence and love Me freely, without coercion. I paid enormously for your freedom – with My own blood. This payment has made it possible for you to know Me, the King of kings and Lord of lords. When one of my children draws near Me in reverent awe, I open My heart and offer intimate friendship. The joy we share in one another cannot be measured.

However, from time to time you overstep your bounds, forgetting who I am. You talk to Me carelessly, even slanderously. While our intimacy is hindered by your irreverent attitude, My love for you is constant. When you remember My majestic Presence and return to Me repentantly, I not only forgive you, but I rush to meet you and enfold you on My embrace. I celebrate with you the Joy of being close again as we walk together down the path of Life.

Until the appearing of out Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time – God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords. ~ 1 Timothy 6:14-15 ~

Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you. before Abraham was, I AM.’ ~ John 8:58 ~

So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father sae him and was filled with compasion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. ~ Luke 15:20 ~

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with the joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. ~ Psalm 16:11 ~
